A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and seems to have a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of apples, blackberries and plums are present in the nose along with hints of grassy and herbal hops.
T: The taste follows the smell and showcases flavors of apples and plums. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found the aromas and flavors of this IPA to be very unique - particularly due to those imparted by the Boadicea and Brambling Cross hops.

While the label and name is admittedly fun and eye-catching, this beer leaves something to be desired. The taste is my primary complaint; it has a sort of sharpness to it and the aftertaste is unpleasant. It’s not egregious, but it doesn’t make for a great beer-drinking experience.

a fascinating hop profile on this one, but really dense from all the haziness, id love to have this hop combination in a more refined beer, but its still a real neat brew from these guys, just the second of their beers i have had, big thanks to my brother for hooking up the can. its got such a curious nose, something unfamiliar to me, slightly vegetal like steamed broccoli, but at the same time, intense passion fruit, cantaloupe, and meyer lemon, a touch of cascade type spiciness too, obviously a mix of old and new school hops in here, thoughtfully put together. i dont get a ton of taste from the grain, a slight doughy complexion maybe, but i certainly feel it. this has a ton of body and just a little leftover sugar, maybe its needed as a catalyst for all these awesome hops, but it sure seems to me like this one could be improved with a little cleanup effort, it drinks a little dense to be sure. the hops though, are fantastic, got to be like an el dorado or something with this melon taste, and some woodiness at the end as well, but still for me driven by this almost tangy passion fruit element, really flavorful and fresh and good. sometimes its not all about how much hops, but about how they are combined, and i think this is a nice example of that, i just wish it was in a more refined and drinkable package. i need to go check out this brewery next time i am up that way...

Hoppy, hazy, juicy and bitter. Isn't mind blowing by any means but this is a damn good option. Would choose over several locals because it's tasty but it certainly isnt memorable.

A: Poured from the can into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy golden-yellow, looks a little more orange when backlit. Small white head on top.
S: Hops over sweet malt - herbal and earthy hops with some tropical fruit (pineapple, I think).
T: Modest caramel malt foundation is followed by modest hops - tropical fruit, a touch of apricot, some herbal or grassy hops too. Finishes quite clean, though with a modest lingering bite of lemonpepper.
M: A little on the thin/watery side. Lighter than medium in heft. Modest carbonation.
O: OK. Not blown away, that's for sure, and at this price point I could find many better options. But for my first beer from these guys I'm willing to give them another try.
