16oz can. No dating information found.
Black colored body, with no back lit edge. Early tan colored head disappears quickly after the pour. No lacing.
Aroma of dark roast coffee and dark roast malts. The chocolate needs to be drawn out.
Taste is sweet with flavors of dark roasted malts being the lead. Complimentary flavors are coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, and hint of dark fruit cherry. All flavors blend and extend in the aftertaste (the clinging body assists in longevity).
More than medium mouthfeel. Soft and creamy texture. Bitterness from the coffee. Supportive carbonation.
Uses subtle flavors and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel to create an enjoyable drinking experience. The best feature is the mouthfeel, because the flavors are full but subdued.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear extremely dark cola brown (approaching jet black) in color with slightly lighter than moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark chestnut brown + dark garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of roasted + caramel malts with a light amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate aromas of chocolate/cacao nibs and cold brew coffee.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of chocolate/cacao nibs and moderate to strong flavors of cold brew coffee. Finally there is a light hint of earthy hops. There is a light to moderate amount of roasty bitterness which lingers slightly and balances out the sweetness of the lactose and caramel.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively smooth.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a lighter smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable with really nice flavors + aromas from the additions of cacao nibs and cold brew coffee. Nice balance between the sweetness and the roasty bitterness.
