Poured from a 12oz can stamped “BEST BY 12.09.22” to a dimpled mug at fridge temp.
This pours light copper color not with a slight haze. An off-white 0.5” head sits on top and fades to a ring in 5 minutes, but fully laces with every sip to the end.
The aroma is of caramel, toast and slight medicinal smell.
The front end of the taste is similar to the aroma- caramel malty sweetness, but the carbonation clears that out to present a fairly hoppy finish for a Marzen.
A reasonable Oktoberfest beer and an easy drinker, but not at the top of the style

A: Coppery-orange a la the planet Vulcan. Loose white head of conformed bubbles. Good retention.

S: Lots of sharp, woodsy-herbal hops with a strong counterpunch of caramel deepening into toffee crunch and monkey bread.

M: Crisp with high enough carbonation to usher awayvany sweetness while leaving a soft minerality.

T: An initial impression of sweet caramel is quickly usurped by bready and robust malt. Grass and floral edelweiss scrub carry enough bitterness that also soothes into minute notes of cherry lozenge and alderwood.

Single 12oz bottle traded with sulldaddy
Slightly hazy amber color with a copper hue, thin off-white head with fair retention.
Aroma has a bold toasted malt character with a faint hop note.
Taste follows the nose with semi sweet finish.
This is a nice one!

This is a great representation of Bavarian Marzen type beer. Malty sweetness with a slight hop in the finish. Thanks to @sulldaddy for the surprise! Great beer

Im sampling a cold 12 oz bottle poured into my .5L dimple mug. The beer pours a rich clear copper color with a fizzy eggshell white head of about 1 cm that fades quickly to a thin edge layer and some wispy islands in the center of the mug.
Aroma on this one is nice with toasted bread malt notes and some toffee mixing with some light floral hop notes. The malt notes are by far the strongest part of the nose.
the first sip reveals a medium to light body with a smooth and crisp texture. The carbonation is fine and tingly and overall the physical traits make for an easy drinking beer.
Flavor matches up with the nose. starts with some sweet caramel and moves to a toasted multi grain bread and finishes with some herbal hop bite. A little bit of black tea here. Finish is also very dry and makes my palate demand another sip, also increasing drinkability!
Overall this is a solid Marzen from an underappreciated Connecticut brewery. Glad I can visit there in about 10 minutes from my house!
