A: Unfiltered, honeyed golden. Large and fluffy white head. Foamy to start that settles into mottled creaminess with great retention.

S/T: A fruity caramel sweetness persists. Overbearing yet not unpleasant. It has a maple sorta toasted waffle quality with candi accents.

M: Med-high carb and low, clean herbal bitterness.

L: Pours a deep gold color with good clarity. A slightly aggressive pour yields 3 fingers of creamy white head with excellent retention. As I drink the beer it leaves a nice ringed and webbed lacing on the glass.

S: On the nose I get notes of toasted malt and a more prominent grainy malt character. I am also getting a bit of grass and just the slightest touch of earthy spice.

T: The palate is definitely malt forward being dominated by sweet grainy malt and a bit of toasted malt while the hops play a supporting role presenting a light floral character and light notes of grass and white pepper. There is a light bitterness that builds as the beer goes down.

F: It has a medium body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy with a light dryness and a very light alcohol presence on the backend and finish.

O: This is a good representation of the style that is dominated by the malt profile, but has a sufficient amount of hop character to balance it out so that it is not a complete malt bomb. Recommended!

Picked up cold 16 oz cans at the brewery today. Poured into my .5L dimple mug a few hours later.
The beer pours a bright clear golden color with a fluffy bleached white head of 1.5 cm.
This foam fades to a thin surface layer soon after the pour, but does create some scattered lattice when I swirl or take a sip.
the aroma is big on toasted malts and grain, almost cereal like. I also get a bit of floral and grassy hop presence. Nice balance, with the grainyness only slightly more robust on the nose.
First sip reveals a lighter body with crisp texture and very fine and prickly carbonation. Definitely a bit of a sharpness to those little bubbles.
Flavor is malt up front with again toasted notes and some grain with a little light fruit hit. But then hops take over for the finish with some herbal tea and grassy flavors. This lingers after each swallow and my palate dries out quite a bit after as well.
I enjoy this beer and it reminds me that I should visit this brewery more often as they make some solid lagers.

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a skim cap; nice lacing;

S: grassy; a little floral; a little spice;

T: follows the nose - a little sweet in the middle;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; finish is moderately dry, but keeps drying out through the aftertaste;

O: refreshing; an easy beer to session;
