A brewery favorite, Tettnang is one of two featured hops in our classic Pilsner recipe. This Pilsner Project variant is brewed with 100% Tettnang hops grown by the Bentele Family in the Tettnang region of Germany for a pure and unadulterated single hop experience. Classic floral noble hop qualities are complemented by hints of black tea, pepper and citrus while a blend of imported Pilsner and dextrin malts provide a sturdy malt structure with a dry, moderately bitter finish.

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger finely pored white head that receded to a wispy cap; nice lacing;
S: not a lot of aroma; what's there is a soapy combination of lemon and floral;
T: floral throughout; a bit of black pepper up front and a bit of tea on the back end; moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish; crisp;
O: refreshing and easy drinking; an odd lack of aroma;

Poured from a 16oz can stamped BEST BY 05/20/23 to a Pilsner glass at fridge temp.
Despite a mild pour a significant, persistent pillowy white head makes me pause the full pour. The body is light gold with some haze. Despite the mild haze,nucleation bubbles are visible.
The smell is sharp, a little bready with citrus notes, mildly reminiscent of lemon cake.
The taste has quite a hop feel to it. Soapy and tingly, some citrus, fairly bitter with a very dry finish.
Mouthfeel is clean and crisp even with medium carbonation but there is some hop oiliness.
A great experience.

L: Pours a pale straw to straw color with a light chill haze. The pour gives two and a half fingers of fine, bone white head. The head has excellent retention slowly falling to a 5 mm cap which sticks around for the duration leaving a nice ringed and webbed lacing as the beer goes down.
S: Floral and herbal notes, light notes of noble spice, a hint of earthy black tea, and a light malty-sweet character.
T: Floral notes mixing with subtle noble hop peppery spice. Mid palate I get a bit of honey sweetness that is cut by a bit of earthy herbal bitterness that flows into the back end and finish presenting notes of earthy black tea. Overall this has a medium bitterness.
F: This one has a medium-light body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and crisp with a nice dry finish.
O: East Rock Brewing does it again. I am loving every pilsner project beer that comes out and like the others this one excels at showcasing the hop with a well crafted but unobtrusive malt bill. Highly recommended!
