Teays River Brewing & Public House

 

Stopped by killing time in Lafayette. Lesser know than some other places, but clean and nice place. Pleasant staff. Indoor/outdoor bar area with mixed drinks as well as beers. Good variety of their beer on tap and to go. I did order house bread with beer cheese and it was delicious. Would absolutely stop in again.

Brewpub with a nice food selection and good weekly specials. Teays River opened in early 2018 and, at the moment, I'd say their food is as good or better than their beer. That said, the beer is already on par with Lafayette Brewing Company and People's, the established local breweries. They have distinct seating areas dividing the bar and patio areas from the more traditional restaurant seating. Beer offerings were originally a mix of Teays River and other central Indiana brewers, but they appear to be serving their own brews on every line now that they've gotten on their feet. Styles are primarily classic British and Euro-influenced, with the addition of some IPAs with new-world hop varietals. Definitely making a promising start in their first six months.
