Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)…
L- Almost black though with a garnet-red hue to it. Pours clear with short-lived 2mm head that's soon a rather lonely little pale-tan patch.
S- Deeply roasty-toasty plus a suggestion of mild smoke. Smells light of Feel/ABV%.
T- It has quite a pungent 'black beer' flavour. All the smell^ plus some 'log fireplace' then some notable dry hops into the finish that linger on afterwards as a dryness on the palate.
F- Beyond the pungent flavour, the hoppy dryness stands out quite prominently. It's 4.8% and it feels that (at max). IME a pungent taste like this can additionally mask a lower ABV% and feel.
Very good dissolved CO2 here, way better than is visible in the glass, so that feels very good.
O- The upshot it, notably pungent but light in body so not much at all in the richness department here. This is perhaps a good beer for a person who wants a few black beers to sip, where the flavour out-shoots the ABV (sessionable)
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! -> No, no surprises...
500ml bottle BB: 10/2021 £2.24 Bought from BeersOfEurope, King's Lynn/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Nov 2018. Purchased a while back from a local offie. Described on the label as a deep dark-brown beer brewed with Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal and Chocolate malts.
A: Poured into a straight pint glass. A deep reddish-brown hue with good clarity and modest carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy off-white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of rich dark malt with hints of chocolate, mild roasted grain, subtle molasses, a touch of dried fruit, ale yeast, delicate earthiness and leafiness. Rather nice.
T: Tastes of roasted grain with notes of dark malt, chocolate, mild molasses, a hint of dried fruit, ale yeast, earthiness and leafiness. Slightly sweet, followed by a substantial bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and decent body. Could be a tad thicker for the style. Somewhat astringent. Aftertaste of bitter leafy hops, roasted grain, chocolate, ale yeast and earthiness.
O: Pretty good - a well-crafted porter with a distinct chocolate note. Looks OK, while the aroma and flavour are a blend of roasted malt, chocolate, bitter stewed hops and ale yeast. Decent body. Goes down a treat; worth sampling if you stumble across it.
