On tap in a 12 ounce tulip snifter.
Black leather color with a creamy tan head, about 1/2 f. Heavy lacing.
Roasted malt and toasted spice aromas with some lemon and mint.
There’s a pleasant malt char flavor. Underlying citrus hop.
Strong medium body with a good hop and malt balance.
More of a dark ale than an IPA to me. No matter, good stuff.

Drinking this at one of my favorite tap rooms, Tapped Craft and Drafts in Greenville NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks dark brown almost black with a nice foamy tannish head that dropped quickly to a thin cap.
Smells bready, spicy, herbal, citrusy.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice example of a Black IPA that I would definitely order again.
I like this Style so much it's almost hard to be objective.
Cheers!
