From a crowler:
Appearance: Clear gold, good head.
Smell: Butterscotch aroma.
Taste: Mild sweetness, oranges, some butterscotch noted, mild bitterness.
Overall: Some friends brought me back a crowler from this brewery located northwest of the Twin Cities. They said it was unusual. I agree, there is quite a bit of butterscotch flavor in this IPA. Looking at their website they mention caramel as a tasting note, but this seems excessive for the style, I don't think I've had an IPA quite like this before.
