Given to me by a friend. Poured into a tulip glass.
L - Pours a nearly plum red, with a thin pale white head.
S - Lavender, with a bit of sweet earth. Faint vanilla. Ginger is there, but not at the foreground.
T - Sweet, but like how an Italian soda is sweet. A ginger base sets the scene for notes of hibiscus, and the lavender comes in towards the end. Aster honey finish.
F - Light-medium body, with plenty of carbonation. Super refreshing and drinkable.
O - An enjoyable brew for sure. Floral and sweet, but not overly so (like how sours play both flavors). A safe bet. Definitely worth a try.

Had on tap. I am told this is beer, I'm skeptical, reminds me of the Not Your Father's series from small town. Anywho, pours a beautiful magenta but no head, lots of visible carbonation. Smell is pretty nice: hibiscus rides the lavender and ginger in an ascending sniff, general floral and subtle berries support. Taste hits the ginger harder up front, lavender is second strongest, hibiscus with subtle berries cool down the botanical nature of the foretaste, very short lived though. Feel is high in carbonation, light, textures but the adjuncts powerfully, overwhelming the senses a bit by the finish

Ok, I suppose you must first accept that this beverage is indeed a beer, which it is. Then one needs to consider the type of beer. In any event, this beer taste just like you expect and it tastes very good.
Maybe the best smelling beer I have had. The lavender is upfront on the smell, the hibiscus is upfront on the taste. The smell and taste of freshly cut ginger is a pleasant backdrop for it all. There are flavors of cherries and cinnamon as well. A very flavorful and easy to drink beer. Great with food. Overall a wonderful, but very different, beer.
