Collaboration with Marin Brewing Company
Brewed in collaboration with Arne Johnson of Marin Brewing Co., this is what happens when a couple of old school brewers get drunk in Denver and plan a collaboration. After tasting a few dozen beers at the Great American Beer Festival, what started out being a classic German Weizenbock became a Banana Split inspired brew.
First off, we agreed that beer is our favorite dessert, and neither of us like sweet beer much. So it ain’t sweet, it tastes like beer, and the flavor additions are subtle! German Weizen Yeast gives us banana esters. Chocolate wheat malt and TCHO cacao nibs give us chocolate flavors. Add a little caramel malt, vanilla extract and cherry juice and whaddaya got? #nofilterbananasplitbock#oldgermanbrewersrollingoverintheirgraves #reinheinsgawhat?
