Our tribute to the classic German Schwarzbier. Notes of coffee and bittersweet chocolate, with just a touch of German Noble hops round out the roasted malt profile.

Draft at the brewery
Big creamy tan foamy thick head with great retention, fair lacing, dark but mostly clear ruby hue dark color
Nose dark mild roasted malt, touch of char, roasted coffee, dark chocolate wafer cookie, spicy hop
Taste brings more semi sweet dark malt, roasted malt and little coffee, dark chocolate wafer cookie and mild spices, very slight metallic, soft smooth roast, mild spicy hops, dry finish
Mouth is med to lighter bod, mild soft lager, med carb
Overall not bad
