Pours a dark caramel color with a burgundy tinge to it. Transparency is clear. Head is a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is strong caramel and toffee, with bread, raisins, and fig adding layers of sweetness and depth. Flavor profile is caramel, toffee, raisins, fig, grassy hops, and chocolate. Alcohol peeps through in the flavor profile, despite the density of the flavor profile. Mouth feel is smooth with a medium-thick consistency. Falls a little short of thick, with the alcohol thinning it out towards the finish. Overall, smooth, but heavy. It sits on the tongue without much play from carbonation, coating the tongue with caramel and toffee notes.
