Pours a dark brown with burgundy hues around the edges. Head is a finger of off-white foam. Aroma is spices right off the front - cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg with heavy Belgian yeast spice, and fruity easters underneath. Toasty, nutty, earthy, and bready malts provide support for the Belgian yeast and spices. Flavor profile is quite a bit more muddled, with initial spices mingling and intertwining with Belgian yeast spice. Then, double down the Belgian yeast fruit easters with some mild fruit additions, the latter pushing it into firmly sweet. Toffee finds its way into the center, for a little bit of further sweetness. Mouth feel is lightly creamy at the start, but stills out on the tongue, carrying consistent silt throughout the end. Thickness is medium. Overall, nose comes out great, but the flavor profile comes off a little more muddled. Interesting mix and match.
