Pours black that shines burgundy when held against a light. Transparency is foggy, which further darkens its appearance. Head is a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is nutty, roasty, toasty, caramely, bready, and light wafery malts. Some pumpernickle pushes the bread notes further, and adds a sliver of spiciness. Flavor profile is wafery, crackery, toasty, nutty, caramely, and bready malts. It has a soft start, but builds into caramel and bread at the end. Some pretzel adds a little mix up to it. Smooth and dark overall. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a soft crispness. It finishes thin. Overall, big bready bomb that things out towards the end.
