Split Rock Brewing Co.

Stopped in here last week while on vacation in Newfoundland. The brewery is called Split Rock but their tap room is called Stage Head pub for some reason. They don't sell food and they only serve the beers they make. Anyhow, nice taproom lots of dark wood, 10 or so seats at the bar maybe a dozen other tables.and a small stage opposite the bar. I came in on a Thursday night there were maybe 6 other people in the place and two women working behind the bar. they had 9 beers on tap you can get a flight of 4 or a full pour. I started with the four and was going for another 4 when they informed me that two of the beers weren't available in a flight because they were limited runs I could only buy a full pour of those. Odd logic aside, how about selling me the other 3 in four ounce pours, sorry we can only sell 4 - 4 oz pours.in a flight.But she gave me a small taster of a couple of the ones I haden't tried. Anyhow the beer was good to great. The service although riddled with rules was friendly and attentive. I'd go back if I was in the area.
