This is a tribute to Bell's Two Hearted Ale and will transport you back to a different time and relative dimension in space where well balanced IPAs have an assertive hop character and pronounced hop bitterness. Drink fresh to take advantage of the great hop aromatics and flavours.

Slightly ruddy/hazy orange caramel pour with half finger of pale cream coloured head.
Aroma on can is very reminiscent of a local brewery - grainy cereal malt - processing wort - there is a very nice citrus/burnt orange, grapefruit note and piney resin smell.
Again tastes of grainy, gritty caramel malt which gives way to an aggressive resiny pine and citrus peel bitterness; underlying earthy and slightly herbal hop flavour on the mid palate.
Medium bodied though underwhelming carbonation detracts slightly. Bitterness lingers long after liquid is gone. Been a couple years (darn you COVID) since had Two Hearted, and this certainly does not have the balancing sweetness to reach that standard but has features that make this very enjoyable. Honestly kick the carbonation up just a little and this is a wonderful old school IPA.
