delicious, a banger, as tasty as the merlot edition, such a cool series of beers, wine beers are my muse right now, and it was great to dip into a few of them. i love the label art on these clear glass bottles, really sharp. this is incredibly juicy, and drinks as much like a natty wine as it does like a wild beer, funky and fruit driven, varietal specific on the palate which i think is special, and refined to a really high degree, these are clean and bright and vibrant and drinkable, not too acidic, wild without being dominated by the ferment, tannic and tangy and with lots of other dark fruit nuance in both aroma and flavor, to me blackberry and black currant and overall a relatively robust grape presence, distinct from the merlot edition to be sure. i think its cool how light in body these are, but this one especially, the grain is there but its way back, and they are so cleaned up, so pure and even pristine, uncommon to say the least. there are minerals to this, farmy bretty character abounds, and its fully effervescent in the glass even though it doesnt hold any head. red raspberry as it warms a little, springy natural wine, wet stone, a decent amount of oak here too which rounds it but also enriches it. really lovely beer, a bit more juicy than the merlot one, they nailed this and i cant wait to try more from the series! these guys blew my mind while i was in savannah!
