This was another beer that I ordered on Tavour late last year, as I never had anything from Two Tides before. This sounded intriguing and looked wonderful from the presentation on that app and indeed, this wasn't like anything I ever had before as this felt like flavored yogurt in a can, with plenty of pulp and seeds to go along with that!
Indeed, this looked like strawberry and banana puree when I poured it out as I don't think I've ever had a beer with this hue to it before. Very little head as what did form quickly and loudly subsided, and the lacing was nonexistent with a spotty sheen coating my glass as I worked my way through this. Loads of lactose, vanilla cream, strawberries, and banana in the nose as light cinnamon spice, parfait, and yogurt funk emerged on the palate once I sipped this. Somewhat tart and full in body, the granola lent itself more to the consistency than the taste here.
That was evident in the back as there was some residual chewiness to go along with the funk and tart that made me feel that this was a raspberry beer from Belgium, or the like. Nearly impossible to detect the alcohol in this as I could have easily had another one after this, or for breakfast, or for dessert. This was that versatile and all that was missing from this brew was a date on the bottom of the can. Hints of seeds, fiber, and an outdoorsy fruit funk aftertaste all added to this beer's appeal, as it easily left me wanting more as it's offerings like this that make me appreciate this style more and more in recent months!
