watermelon, pink guava, lime, and sea salt in this summery kettle sour, a nice modern take on the style, heavily fruited with watermelon leading the way, but this isnt slop as so many of these are, its actually of nice quality and a fun one to drink on, not novelty level. neat packaging on all their stuff too, they look hip and cool in these skinny cans. it does have a bit of a smoothie textured thickness to it, but this isnt one of those lactose and jelly bombs, the fruit comes through as real in aroma and flavor, the salt adds a lot, and the sourness is moderate so it stays more drinkable than a lot of these. the watermelon is cool, summery and juicy to my senses and pairs super well with the other fruits. salted watermelon is a known synergy and those elements come together nicely on this. some light up front sharpness with the lime, some bitterness from it later too, a little pithy, but real enough that it works. minerals from the salt highlight how clean the souring really is, and in the way back there is still enough grain that this drinks like a beer rather than a health drink. love how forward the watermelon is. overall this is delicious, they do this sort of thing very well i learned while i was in savannah, and this was hands down my favorite of the breweries we hit while we were there, so much clever beer!
