Poured from aluminum pint into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden-orange color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades very slowly to leave a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heavy of a tropical fruits of tangerine, papaya, and mango. Along with these stronger fruit smells comes some lighter notes of caramel and a little bit of grass.
Taste – The taste begins with the sweeter tropical fruit flavor that was detected in the nose along with some tastes of some bready and grainy tastes. As the taste advances the sweeter tropical fruits fade, all while the bready tastes lose a bit of potency. At the same time, some cracker tastes and a bit of an herbal and grassy hop come to the tongue, leaving one with a somewhat lightly sweetened and crisp, but decently hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is moderate in thickness and in carbonation. For the mix of flavors the feel is quite nice and makes for an easy sipping IPA.
Overall – A rather nice easy drinking IPA with a balance in sweet, malt, and hop flavor. Nothing super out of the ordinary, but a nice tasty go to overall.
