On-tap at Island to Island Brewery, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is black when viewed from afar with just some hints of red near the edges of the glass; when held up to a bright light it is clear dark red in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin ring of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of roasted coffee beans are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of burnt and roasted coffee beans.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has lots of coffee flavors but is rather light in body for the style and the amount of flavors. As such, it doesn't seem to be that balanced.
