An absolute juice bomb of a sour milkshake IPA. Lactose and vanilla perfectly compliment the sour IPA with loads of mango and a mosaic dry hop.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and poured with just a thin ring of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of mangos are present in the nose along with notes of sourness and hints of lactose.
T: The taste has sour flavors of mangos along with hints of lactose, the latter of which are most noticeable in the finish. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and faintly tart on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this IPA to be interesting as it managed to combine the flavors of mangos, sourness, and lactose very well. It wasn't as "juicy" compared to other New England IPAs.

A fluffy white head holds at one and one-half inches for a minute. A dense coating of fine lace is quickly deposited on a PBGC IIPA glass. The beer itself is murky gold at SRM 5.

The aroma is dominated by juicy pineapple and mango. Grapefruit is also prominent and there is a background of sourness.

Wow! The fresh juiciness of this beer is tremendous. Both mango and grapefruit shine while the bitterness and sweetness are well controlled and balanced. This has a light sourness and a long, fresh fruity finish.

A full body and juicy texture is complimented by alcohol within expectations. The carbonation is modest.

It is always exciting to try beer from a new brewery, especially so when that beer is great. As an Autumn treat, Mango It Was Written works quite well. I imagine it would also be just right on a hot Summer day, especially given that the alcohol is low enough to enjoy over an afternoon.
