Hazy golden mango with a glowing sunset highlight. The head is sparkling two inches of foam that settles fairly quickly. Wide rings of sticky lace are deposited from a thin pillow that remains for the duration. Tiny carbonation seems to reinforce the head.
Mango is strong and fresh, followed by tangerine, then some spruce tips. Later one notices floral and fresh-squeezed lime.
Hypnotize is more bitter than expected, with sweetness being very much a secondary component. Mango and lime follow the nose. A long mild finish builds to a lingering, bitter crescendo. Warmth reveals some honeydew rind.
The medium body has a dirty cotton texture with ample fine carbonation. Alcohol is as expected and there is a light astringency.
This will be a good summer beer to enjoy casual conversation with my imaginary friends. I think it will go with pretzels and possibly even fish fry.
