Can purchased and drank at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear amber/orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like tart lime, breadiness, lemon, floral aromas, and some light marshmallow.
This is much more tart than I expected it would be, which isn’t honestly a bad thing, as these beers are often so heavy, sweet, and just gloopy. This has a nice floral and lemon bitterness, like an actual sour IPA, with lots of lime, and just a hint of bready and crackery vibes for the pie, and just a hint of marshmallow.
This is light bodied, and very drinkable, despite the tartness.
I really enjoyed this as a nice change up from the most of the fruited sours you see out there at this point.

Given the style, this is surprisingly clear, pail gold with a fine 2" white head. The head slowly melts as a cloud of tiny random bubbles vainly race to its support from the nucleation site at the bottom of a Strangebird IIPA glass. Large splotches of lace fill the void between a ring above and the beer below.
The key lime pie aroma is intense, including the tart/sweet key lime, cream, and the graham cracker crust. Marshmallow becomes obvious after the first few whiffs. Warmth adds an unwelcome scent of playdough.
Poured fresh at the brewery, the tartness is intensely bright and a bit overwhelming. This can has some age on it, which while taming the tartness, one should still be prepared for a powerful sensation. The tartness is immediately accompanied by equally strong sweetness, nether taming the other, actually they taunt for supremacy. Sourness is not forgotten, though a distant third place finish.. Speaking of finishes, the key lime pie carries long into the finish where one finds a token dose of bitterness.
Alcohol is a little lower than expected in this stiff yet smooth textured medium body. Taffeta fabric comes to mind. Carbonation is fine, with modest scrubbing.
The fresh pour, while dramatically more tart than sweet, also had more intense pipe flavors. Either way, this is an experience, and one that would be difficult to repeat in succession. I would suggest it as a beer for a hot afternoon.
