This is the lil nephew to our Money Green Leather Sofa. Still loaded with Citra, Mosaic, Idaho 7 and galaxy hops, with a smooth residual sweetness.

In full transparency, Money Green Leather Loveseat was a positive, but unintended surprise - We meant for it to be Money Green Leather Sofa. Sometimes in scaling up recipes they work perfect, and sometimes they don't. The recipe was scaled up to go in one of our new tanks and it wasn't a 1:1 conversion. The beer didn't attenuate as we expected, and as a result, it landed at 8.8% with some residual sweetness. Rest assured the beer is delicious, but not the Money Green Leather Sofa we all know.

This one pours a dark golden orange color, with a small head, and a lot of lacing.

This smells like sweet cake like flavors, caramel, booze, and astringent bitter hops.

I usually like Rising Storm a decent amount, but this beer should not have been released. I guess it was intended to become a triple IPA (Money Green Leather Sofa), but it didn't attenuate correctly, so they released it as a DIPA instead. They do mention the residual sweetness in the description, so at least there's that. The residual sweetness is just so overwhelming here - it's syrupy, caramel, and cake-like, and just not what I want in a non-hazy IPA. There's no crispness, only a bit of astringent bitter grapefruit, maybe some honey, and lots of booze, especially as the beer warms up.

This is syrupy, with a lower level of drinkability. It definitely feels like it didn't attenuate correctly.

I really don't think this should have been released. I usually like Rising Storm a lot more.
