A beautiful combination of Meridian, Rakau and Nelson hops.

Pours hazy, pail yellowish-orange, and puts up a 1.5” foamy white head. The head lasts a long while, leaving a fine coating of lace on a Strangebird IIPA Glass.
Fresh citrus greets the nose with sweet orange and lemon. Light pine needles follow, as does mango. The tropical sensation is light with floral notes.
Oof, this is quite bitter. After a few sips the sweetness softens the bitterness nicely. The citrus and pine are much more muted than the aroma had suggested. The mango seems unripe. Light acidity leads to a long moderate finish.
The body is light to medium, with a slippery silky texture. Effervescence and alcohol are as expected. Astringency adds a pleasant touch, especially just at the mild dryness kicks in.
This is a pleasant NEIPA. It is neither simple, nor complex, with lots of flavor and mouthfeel. It doesn’t require much thought and allows one to relax. I have enjoyed one, each of the past three days, and am looking forward to the last this coming weekend.
