Brewed to honor Danial "Danny" Prial, who perished along with Steve Skoda and Christian Koch in a helicopter accident while on duty in Western NY. Four beers were brewed by Brindle Hous, Heroes, Rising Storm, and Triphammer.
Danny was driven by duty, honor and country. His motivation was rooted in the events of 9/11, through his father's service as FDNY. A 2012 graduate of West Point, Danny was a mentor to thousands of future military aviators. He was passionate about NY Sports, especially the Jets and Mets, even named his dog Shea.
"If you knew Danny, you loved Danny. He cherished being with friends, sharing beers, and enduring challenges with his fellow soldiers. while his life was short in years, his legacy of love and friendship will live forever through those that knew him. God Speed. Rest in Peace Danny."

A big, two inch, loose and fluffy white head leaves big, bubbly patches of lace as it quickly falls. Within the pint glass, the ale is hazy straw to pale lemon (SRM 2-3)
Oh wow! I had forgotten how well citrus and pine can pop from a fresh pale ale. This is very well done, and smells like sunshine on a summer day. It also has tropical fruits, primarily mango, that fill in later. Towards the end, lemon and grapefruit become apparent.
The flavor is pleasantly bitter and in balance with the sweetness. The nose accurately predicts the flavor. However, pine becomes more present, even though it is mild. The finish is modestly long and dryer than expected.
It has a medium body and a coarse texture of linen. Alcohol is as expected. Soft, fizzy carbonation brushes the palate, while light, residual sugar is deposited on the lips. It has a hint of astringency.
This could be a great everyday beer because it is so refreshing, light, and relatively low in alcohol. The flavor and aroma will keep one coming back for more. I consider it to be an all purpose beer. More importantly, it is a fine tribute to Chief Warrant Officer Prial. Well done, indeed!
