Glows like orange Sherbert sunny and bright. The opacity is complete. The head momentarily reaches 1/2", only to immediately vaporize, leaving a ghostly lace on the pint glass.
Strawberry and orange are strong, as expected, with the orange being a close second. The fruit is super fresh.
The flavors are precisely as predicted from the aroma, filled with the brightness of fresh strawberries and oranges. There is a light bitterness, orange pith maybe, however it is very sweet, comparable to orange juice. The finish is equally strong and fruit focused, more mandarin this time. There is a strange sensation of faint chocolate as it warms. Sourness also builds with warmth, never exceeding a mild status.
This one has a medium body, and spritzy carbonation. Texture is similar to fine nylon, and alcohol seems lower than expected for 6% abv.
Another real nice offering from Rising Storm's "It Was Written" line of beers. While nothing Earth shattering, the "It Was Written" line-up is very approachable and almost always delivers without flaw. I would say this is generally similar to a mimosa, and appropriate for similar occasions, or just as a guilty pleasure.
