Stopped by the Ceres location on a Saturday afternoon. Super chill, plenty of seating options inside and out on the shaded patio. Really diverse tap list covering the spectrum, not just a total hop fest like a lot of places these days. Took in a few pints while playing Jenga and enjoying some fantastic tacos from the food truck of the day. I'll definitely be back.

I had the opportunity to visit Ceres, California, something that was completely unplanned, as I got on my mobile device to see where the hell it was. No offense to the city of Modesto, but I rarely get down there off I-99, but it seems the beer Gods were smiling upon me.
I had to take our dog for a test in Modesto and realized we were just a few miles away from Blaker Brewing. Nevering hearing of it, I am always open to an adventure, so my buddy and I took a chance. We pulled up into an industrial area off the main road and walked up to the entrance, which had access to their covered patio area, outside of a large roll up door, as there were some patrons seated inside. It wasn't crowded, so we took a seat outside. The server came up and said we were welcome to sit inside with the dog, if we wanted, so we moved to a set of chairs, so my buddy could watch the NFL games on the two televisions.
The brewery had a farmhouse type look to it, somewhat industrial with the brewing equipment beyond he bar open, in what was a very open area. I walked to bar and looked over the taps they had and decided to go to try a 10 oz. Pineapple Milkshake IPA.
The server working the brewery was kind enough to fill a small bowl full of water for the dog, as she laid down (for the most part) next to us as we enjoyed our beer. The backstory to Blaker is pretty cool, being self sustaining, reusing the water and grain dispelled when the brewing is done, I was very impressed with this simple set up.
We went back for a second round and this time, I decided to go dark and try their Vanilla Bean Milk Stout. The server said tacos were being served, as a guy in down at the end of the counter was cooking up a variety of tacos for people. I never went over there, but it appeared they had food available Thursday through Sunday. It smelled outstanding.
Would I go back? Yup, I would, great small town brewery with some good beer. Even decided to take two 4-packs home, their IPA, Plowed under and the Vanilla Bean Milk Stout. Keep up the great work, you have something special here!
