1st review on BA. Didn't realize how many Working Draft beers I was drinking at Funk Factory. Anyways, another June 2019 beer.
Pours a peachy yellow color, hazy AF, 1/3" white head, good retention. Good hoppy aroma, really a mixture of tropical, stone and citrus fruits going on here. Basically I'm thinking Mosaic and Amarillo hops bring hop fruity aromatics, and the peach brings the peach (stone fruit). Nice.
Taste got better, its tough to make a 'sour' ipa, but they pulled it off. Is this a blend of Meerts and an ipa? Kinda gives me that impression. Very enjoyable to drink, went down easy. This excels because it captures what you want out of both styles and mashes them up well. They didn't go too heavy on the peach, and if it is Meerts like I think it is, you don't have something too massively big or sour to push around the hop notes. Good tandem approach here. Would be wrong to not mention the hazy ipa aspect malt wise, good use of flaked oats, kept this smoother, and not too acidic or sour.
