This barrel aged version is significantly boozier than the base, and also full of raisin and other dark fruit characteristics. It also seems more spicy, with a crisper fizz, notes of sassafras, and a weird thinness that finishes sticky dry. I don't think the Cleveland whiskey barrels worked well here, and maybe they need to change the process of adding the adjuncts.
