In 2020, this brew seems to have changed dramatically from that first experience I had in 2019. To the point where I might delete my review below. This will stand as my main review now, as the quality of this brew in particular seems to have dropped and the style seems to have changed more to a traditional IPA.

Its appearance was clear most recently on draft at the source on 7/26/2020, and I checked Untappd and saw that all of the other recent check-ins were the same, so it wasn't just an erroneous pour. It's a lightly chill-hazed pale gold now, which seems to mostly clear up with a little time, under a short but dense level white head.

Taste is so much milder than my below description that it seems like an entirely different beer. It's crisp and lightly crackery with a faint hint of peppery, piney and perfumey hops, and it's also a bit astringent and vegetal. It's nowhere near the amazing dank bomb I had experienced previously.

The body too is lighter, and the finish semi-dry and clean.

I'm not sure if they're trying to pull one over on the regulars after a while, transitioning away from the haze game while having been the primary local brewery pushing it (which would be hilarious), or if this was a "bad" batch. Either way I'll revisit again as I can. As of now my score is dropping substantially from a 4.37 to a 3.66.

---

Appearance is total banana puree--opaque pastel yellow with a soft fizz dying to a thin white ring.

This is peppery and dank af. Armpits, cannabis and spicy eucalyptus perfume this glass from a long ways off, yet it's wildly enjoyable as sweaty passion fruit and peach come out to save the day on the tail end. Faint biscuit and even lime leaf and Thai basil flavors accent with a firm carbonation filling the medium body before a powder dry finish.
