Dark mahogany to black with a short tan head settling to a creamy ring.
In choosing a hefty yet savory addition of unsweetened cacao, the chocolate holds a surprisingly forward presence while also providing a toasty bitterness. There's almost a hint of licorice, and also a touch of woodiness that's nearly like drying cedar, but for MCBC, it's quite a balanced and tasty stout.
The medium body comes to a nearly full heft due to a firm crispness that then lightens to a just dry finish.
Dare I say, this may be their best flavored stout, if not a close second to Mexican Mosh Pit.
