Dull matte black, or perhaps maybe a darkly muddled brown, with a thin tan head that disperses to a spiderweb film.
This is surprisingly not as butterscotch heavy as I expected it to be, yet it's still fairly toffee forward. This sweetness is countered by a unique woodiness that's kind of waxy like chestnut or walnut before a fairly slick, sticky finish of vanilla-tinged chocolate with a little booze.
Their pastry stouts just don't do it for me.
