Poured a dark brown, almost black body with decent head and no lace ring. Grainy hop and caramel/bread-like malt aroma. Medium body, a little thick at times, a sweet caramel/toffee malt taste comes through and overpowers the grainy hoppiness and ends with a surprisingly clean finish. They bill this beer as a beginner's beer and that seems correct - a little bit of everything for a new craft beer drinker but also an enjoyable, and basic, beer for craft beer "vets".
