16oz can, tulip, picked up from the brewery and consumed on May 20, 2020.
It’s a gorgeous copper color with a small cap of off white head.
Nutty, malty in a grainy and savory way, toasted barley, slightly metallic, and just a bit buttery.
Rustic bread, yeast, slight apple and general fruitiness, some herbal hop bite, and a shadow of caramel.
Medium-light body with medium-low carbonation that matches well.
As my first English Dark Mild Ale, I find this very tasty. It’s not flat and there’s lots of flavor here for those looking for more nuance.
