BOSS isn't just another NEIPA. It's a true evolution in the way we're approaching our hazy IPAs. As we've continued to experiment and adjust our grist and hopping regimens, we've begun driving straight towards a properly balanced, ripe and juicy IPA brimming with hoppy fruit character with the unmistakable signature of a classic IPA.

Featuring Centennial & Cashmere in the whirlpool and a double dry hop of Cashmere, Citra, & Mosaic, the juice factor is out of this world and the nose is rife with ripe citrus and a touch of pine. This is an IPA drinker's IPA.

The recipe and label art were inspired by Bailey's dad, Taylor Wright, and prepared for a Father's Day release to celebrate those who don't accept normalcy simply for normalcy's sake. When confronted with the dilemma of how he'd like to be referred to by his grandchildren, he decided he'd rather skip "Grandpa" and instead be referred to simply as "Boss." It was odd then and it's odd now... And we love him for it.

Mellow golden haze, two-knuckle, fluffy, foam head. Tropical fruits; passionfruit, papaya, melon, kiwi, citrus. Slight hop bitterness, decently soft, somewhat fluffy, smooth and creamy. Citra shines through more than the others, cashmere lending some floral grassiness. Very nice

After a quick pour from the can, the BOSS settles into a hazy straw-colored body, crowned by a flimsy foam crown with some moderate lacing. A subtle mango nose is discernable. It offers a veritable buffet of citrus flavor with a noticeable touch of mango and cream. BOSS is brewed with Citra, mosaic and cashmere hops, the later being a new one on me. Crispy mouthfeel belies the heaviness of it. It reminds me of the famous Heady Topper, but minus the boozy punch. One could enjoy this hazy double-dry hopped after a long day of pandemic quarantine.
