Pours a clear bright golden color, not particularly hazy as the style tends to be. The carbonation is visible, while a large white foam head dissapates quickly.
The aroma opens with notes of banana, as expected. Also as expected, aromas of clove and a bit of orange peel; very true to style overall.
The taste opens with a slightly doughy wheat sweetness that is supported by the yeast flavors of banana. However, this is partly overshadowed by the slightly biting spiciest of the clove flavors, whose contributions are not particularly retrained, yet pleasant enough. The orange peel flavors add zest, while there is an additional hint of lemon tartness in the finish.
Medium bodied and with lively carbonated. The mouthfeel is crisp, owing to the spiciness of the clove flavors.
A pleasant and tasty Hefeweizen overall
