A classic German-style Maibock Lager. This lager is toasty with a little hint of spicy Noble hop character, restrained sweetness, and a crisp finish. This style is traditionally brewed as a springtime refresher and we think we hit the nail on the head in that regard.
Ashley Hauck of Spicy Mustard Designs turned one creepy-looking bug into another technicolor masterpiece of can art. If you're a fan of our Animal Lager Series, you don't want to miss out on this one. After all, we only brew this "brood" of lagers once every seventeen years...

Clear, sparkling medium gold body; good carbonation; one-finger thick, white head; rather dense and spongy. Fine herbal aroma infused with some vague esters; mild honey-like quality. Nice malty flavor with a moderate hop bitterness; honey sweetness; crystal malt character. Medium body; crisp and sharp; rather dry feel despite a bit of residual sugar tones.
This beer fits the maibock profile - a bit malty with a light overall sweetness yet also bringing a mild to moderate hop bitterness to the palate. Balanced and tasty.

Somewhat cloudy yellow amber body with a frothy white head and lacing o plenty. Aromas of toast foremost with supporting faint grass and flowers, caramel malt, and a hint of orange. Taste, especially before it gets super warm has a solid orange notes running through the big toast and caramel malts, light botanicals finish. Feel is malt smooth, medium bodied, has an emerging sweetness that is cut off by the crisp botanical light hop finish. The wife liked it

16oz can with a date of 05/04/21.
Clear golden color with a two finger head. Aroma of sweet malt with some Noble hop pepper and herb notes. Flavor is not too sweet or too dry, it is right down the center. Would not call it toasted malt just bready. Nice hop flavors. For an American take of a Maibock, this is a pretty light beer. Has nice carbonation.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down but never completely faded away and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of sweet, toasted malts are present in the nose along with hints of floral and grassy hops.
T: The taste has flavors of toasted malts along with notes of grassy and spicy hops. The hops also contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that this Maibock seemed to be maltier compared to other beers in the style.
