A bright brown beer, which is an American Brown Ale according to the brewer. A light head that fades into a white ring.
Smell is roasted and has some dark caramel malts in it. The nose gives an impression of liquorice and bouillon, ´stock´, which takes of a little of the freshness of the beer.
Taste is quite bitter and has some hop aromatics in it. An increasingly bitter makes way after a couple of sips. A light roast and chocolate adds a nice malt bitterness, which give the beer a liquorice taste. Good beer!

2002 Vintage: very nice, beatiful, subtle roasty stout, with some definite chocolate and raisins, this, i think, also has some belgian influences, and he subtleties are one character i like, pretty soft, with a nice round, roasted finish, with a deinite hoppyness, really well made, and a beautiful colour aswell.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
