The brewer seems to be using "dunkel" to describe the color of the beer. There was no apparent wheat to make it a dunkelweizen.

Deep brown color with light passing through the center of the glass. Clear. Thin head but good legs for lace.
Darker malt nose and a bit perfumy. Smooth.
Moderate body with an elevated carbonation level -- true to the style expectations. Toasted brown bread flavor with enough hop for balance. Finished the second flight with this one. Of the 8 beers I sampled at the brewpub this is the best made one.
