On tap at Cannon Brew Pub, 10/18/10.

Appearance: Pours an alarmingly clear and light hay yellow, almost lighter than many American macros I've had the unfortunate experience of drinking. A thin foam of nonetheless dense-looking foam sits around the rim of the glass, however, and a few faint dollops of surface lacing do manage to cling to the top of this pale creation.

Aroma: A pale, empty aroma, probably this beer's weakest aspect. Only light graininess and a few sulfrous side notes are apparent here.

Taste: A little sweeter than I expected from the nose, but not terribly much better. A little watery and lacking in flavor, with only the hints of pale, soft maltiness, a few wheat notes, and slight citrus at the edges. No hint of hop presence of which to speak.

Mouthfeel: This beer's best aspect. A smooth, creamy, but still slightly crisp-feeling beer, with enough body to keep a better tasting beer on par with the best of them. The mouthfeel tries to carry this one, but there's just not much there to propel.

Drinkability: Drinkable, sure, but so is water. Not a terribly interesting or well-made beer, though, though I suppose it's good to have something to peel the BMC drinkers away from the crowd.

Appearance: Clear, yellow body with a small, foamy, ivory-colored head.

Smell: Light cereal aroma with a bit of lemon and a hint of diacetyl.

Taste: Cereal flavor with a further pronounced citrus character and a light floral hoppiness and equally light bitterness. Again, there's that diacetyl.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: All diacetyl aside, it's still fine for a blonde ale.

Pours a nice pale golden hue with a small, stark white head. Not much aroma, but that may have something to do with the guy next to me at the bar smoking a huge cigar. Nice, sweet palate of lightly floral hops and nice, neutral German yeast. Lingers nicely on the tongue as a sweet delight. Great session beer.
