This beer is big like an imperial stout, smooth like an oatmeal stout, and just a touch sweet like a milk stout. The creamy finish leaves you perfectly satisfied, while the sweet coffee and chocolate leave you wanting more.

On tap at Spiral. Pours a typical dark stout color, head faded fast. Was told it's an oatmeal, but not so sure. Nose is chocolate, taste is malt/coffee like, with good carbonation lingering. Finish is slightly bitter.

Appearance: Pours a completely dark color with a massive, dark tan head. SRM of 23. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of milk chocolate, cream, smooth tapioca and vanilla pudding. (4.25)

Flavor: Strong and smooth flavors of creamy milk chocolate, cream, tapioca and vanilla pudding. Minimal if any roast or coffee here. Slightly sweet. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong yet soft carbonation. A smooth and silky body, incredibly soft. (4.25)

Compared to Bells Special Sweet Cream Stout 2/2023: Pours similar, stronger head. Stronger aromas. More smooth milk chocolate and cream. Less grainy. Soft, smoother with more flavor. Winner: Hard Left

Compared to Founders 3/2023: Pours similar, milder aromas. More smooth oat cream, vanilla, tapioca pudding flavors. Less bitter coffee roast. Smoother and maltier.
3/10/23: Pours darker, larger head. Stronger aromas. More smooth sweet cream, hazelnut, vanilla and tapioca flavor. Less bitter coffee roast. Smoother and maltier.

Compared to Saugatuck G.O.A.T 3/3023: Pours similar, lighter, larger head. Stronger aromas. More tapioca, hazelnut and sweet cream. Less milk chocolate and oats. Sweeter.

Overall: What a beer. This one really surprised me. Pours beautifully. Backs it up with tons of smooth milk chocolate and sweet cream flavors. Incredibly soft, smooth and silky. Wonderfully done.
On a subsequent review I thought it drank a bit too sweet. (Rating: 4.08)

From a 16oz can:

Appearance: Black, one finger tall brown head.

Smell: Mild coffee aroma.

Taste: Starts with mild sweetness, mostly mocha flavor. Gets a little sweeter over time. Nice creamy feel.

Overall: Delivers what the label says, partially an oatmeal stout, partially a milk stout. Leans a little more to milk/sweet stout side but not cloyingly sweet. Very nice mouthfeel. Solid stout.
