Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, deep and rich orange/caramel color with a strong off-white head. SRM of 13. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of rich orange, smooth caramel, Sweet orange, honey, caramel, and bread. (4.00)
Flavor: Flavor follows with strong orange, caramel, honey, and bread. Rich, sweet, but very smooth. Robust and complex flavors. (4.25)
Feel: Heavier-bodied, appropriate carbonation. Smooth, sweet, and hides the alcohol well. (4.00)
Compared to Millstream Oktoberfest 11/24: Pours similar. Less toasted and brown sugar. More smooth orange and honey. Slightly sweeter. Similar.
Overall: First try at this one. Pours beautifully. Robust and malty aromas. Flavors follow with lots of sweet orange, smooth caramel, honey, and bread notes. Finishes sweet, but balanced by the robust honey and orange. Not toasted, yet still complex. Surprisingly Fantastic Marzen here. (Rating: 4.17)

Canned 08/31/20. Clear, darker amber with a reddish tint. One finger of head after a vigorous pour that quickly settled. Very nice Marzen aroma of toast, grass, pepper, and some sweet malt. The flavor was a bit of a letdown as it seems a bit watered down. Not overly sweet. Notes of toast and toffee. Body is thin with OK carbonation. Unremarkable but does not get in the way of slamming these.

2020 update: I think 2019 was slightly better. 2020 has more caramel, seems thinner. 3.87/5 for 2020
2019:
tested from 16 oz cans, canned 8/27/19
Look, Nice goldish amber body, Nice tall very fine head that dissipates rather slowly leaving some lacing
Smell: sweet bread/toast
taste: awesome smooth sweet malt. Bread, hints of caramel, butter (honey?). Not much for hops, but a hint of it towards the finish (herbal/floral). Kinda sweet and heavy. Has some bock or maibock characteristics.
feel: very good, rather thick and syrupy
I like it. it's really not to style in some ways, but so what. 4.10/5
