8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square, while the Red Bison brewers sit at the bar right across the aisle from us!

This beer appears a slightly hazy, medium copper amber colour, with one finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some decent pockmarked limestone wall lace around the glass as it quickly dissipates.

It smells of gritty and grainy caramel malt, some orange, red grapefruit, and lemon citrus rind, a bit of hard water flintiness, and more leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and biscuity caramel malt, mixed domestic citrus peel, wet stone paths after the rain, and more weedy, leafy, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its palate-supporting frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and mostly smooth, with just a touch of hop astringency exacting a minor tithe here. It finishes off-dry, the malt holding on against the lingering mixed hops.

Overall - this is another pleasant introduction to a nascent Cowtown (heya, Patrick!) brewing concern. Nicely balanced, yet still good and hoppy. I'm certainly looking forward to more offerings from these guys - and thanks for the stickers, both my pre-schooler and I appreciate the gesture!
