Taste: Complex, toasted dark malts, some sweet, dark fruit, earthy, chocolate, some boozy notes but smooth dry finish. Same with the nose. Black hue, opaque, with big foamy head and lace. Medium/full body. Good after dinner stout.

Poured a black coffee color with a sweet looking caramel color head and lacing.
Aroma speaks of malts and coffee and a touch of bitterness.
The taste, I have to admit here that I am not a fan of over hopped RISs so was prepared for a mediocre experience, but they nailed it! The balance is nearly perfect. I can’t put it in the same class as Narwhal or Old Rasputin, but I think there are times I will grab one of these before one of those. Easier drinking maybe?
Very good beer, if you are a fan of the RIS, try to find it.
