Oh my - at 3.6%, this one still pops like Orville Redenbacher while with the Mrs. Damn… It’s just beautiful, robust, and smooth like Clark Gable as Admiral of a submarine. When I drink this I feel strong, I feel alive… Raul will never go down with the ship (because he’ll never let it sink).

A: The beer is black when viewed from afar; when held up to a bright light there are some brownish hues near the edge of the glass. It poured with a finger high beige head that left a thin collar around the edge and lots of specks of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of coffee beans and a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is some dryness in the finish.
O: This beer is packed with lots of malty aromas and flavors but is very easy to drink. It is perfectly sessionable.

Pours a dark cola brown, fluffy off-white 1" head that leaves solid streaks of lacing. Nose is hard pretzels, light peat, baking chocolate, and barley tea. Taste is pleasantly bitter - baking chocolate (entirely devoid of sweetness), wormwood, over-steeped black tea. Finish is very dry and tannic, leaving an lingering, drying mouthfeel. Overall, very clean and bitter - definitely worth seeking out if that's up your alley.
