a solid example of a strong belgian blonde here, really simple beer, especially from the malt side, it seems almost as much sugar spiked than mashed, with such a light body and delicate pale grain flavor, probably some sugar added rather than a real heavy grain bill to get it this strong, which i dont mind, but its almost devoid of grain character, especially in the texture, and i dont love that. the yeast is neat, a little exposed here with the strength and without more malt structure, but the flavor is good, green pear and apple esters, a little cotton candy or something, white grape and white wine, faint apricot and cracked pepper, but even with the esters it finishes clean, washed away quickly by the swift booziness at the end, drinks a little hot for what it is, thats for sure. mild floral hop complexion, pairs well with the fruitiness of the yeast, and overall i liked this pretty well, and its close to being excellent. good carbonation and light body, just a bit hot, if they build back in a little grain, this will be excellent beer. i like a new brewery not afraid to make some yeast driven beers!
