The first rendition of Apparition was crafted back when we were all still brewing in a converted 10 gallon mash tun cooler and pot, first dubbed Mosalaxy. A light grain bill consisting of mostly Pilsner malt is fed with a pinch of bittering hops and ample dosings of Galaxy and Mosaic in the whirlpool and dry hop. We are getting huge tropical aromas followed by notes of ripe melon, pineapple, and fresh squeezed orange juice.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of pineapple, grapefruit, orange and toffee. Fruity burst of tropical sweetness up front with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Poured a cloudy, light-yellow body with decent head and lace sheath down glass. Has a smell and taste in slightly sticky body that is like pils malt, lemony citrus and something sweet like pink grapefruit or even tropical fruit with clean, slightly biting finish.

From the pint can, it pours a hazy amber color with a very nice white head that is thick and long lasting. The nose gets tropical fruits, primarily citrus. The mouth follows with a citrusy and lightly malty brew that is smooth feeling and easy to drink.

Lasting dense head. Milkshake cloudy which gives a white hue to the dirty gold color. Thicker ring lace with plentiful minor spots in between.
Beautiful floral hop nose with a solid presence of stone fruit (peach).
Fruity, semisweet malt base. The hop brings a bittering bite. But overall it remains balanced. Rich body with a muted carbonation level. Chewy. The net result is a beer that mimics the New England IPA style except this is far more drinkable.
